We are proud to announce the successful completion of the conference ‘Developing Adult Education Strategies: Trends and Priorities in Cyprus and the EU’. The conference was co-organised with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth, and the research centre CARDET, with the support of the Lifelong Learning Foundation (IDEP) and the University of Nicosia. 

The COVID-19 pandemic forced many business owners and functional team leaders in the SME sector to rapidly rethink their business, making innovation and digital transformation a must to ensure stability and, in the worst case, even survive. Most SMEs, pushed by sudden market changes, implemented innovation processes not as a structured and strategical response but mostly as a roughly improvised "escape forward".

Thousands of pupils and teachers have been forced to stay at home and adapt to online teaching due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic and the whole education system has had many difficulties to manage this change. Beyond instructional goals, teachers were also required to maintain the social integration of pupils, while significant disruption to the provision of classes in the specialized classrooms, excursions etc happened. 

The first newsletter of the Skill Pics project is now available online. The project aims to contribute to the continuous professional development of VET teachers, trainers, and mentors in education and business.
