RoboAquaria's 3rd Round of Piloting Workshops Inspires Young Minds in Cyprus
- Published in News
The RoboAquaria project has successfully completed its 3rd round of piloting workshops at Agios Nikolaos and Trachoni A' Primary Schools in Cyprus, engaging young students in an exciting journey through robotics and environmental education.
During the workshops, students were introduced to the basics of robotics, learning how to communicate and express themselves through technology. Through hands-on activities, they designed and built their own robots, developing key skills in creativity, collaboration, and digital literacy.
With ocean pollution on the rise and its devastating effects on marine life becoming increasingly evident, the RoboAquaria project addresses the urgent need to cultivate environmental awareness and green skills from an early age. The project aims to protect marine environments by integrating educational robotics into the classroom and empowering teachers to use innovative, technology-based approaches.
As part of its broader objectives, RoboAquaria will deliver a Methodological Framework for the pilots, comprehensive Guidelines for Teachers, a validated RoboAquaria Toolkit with Lesson Topics, and an E-Learning Toolkit featuring Open Educational Resources (OERs) and Lesson Plans.
By combining robotics with environmental education, RoboAquaria equips the next generation with the skills and knowledge to lead a more sustainable future.
