- Published in News
INNOVADE, representing Cyprus, proudly participated in the kick-off meeting of the European project SHE LEADS, held on 12–13 March in Valladolid, Spain. The meeting marked the official launch of an ambitious initiative aimed at empowering young people, particularly young women, by enhancing their entrepreneurial and digital competences through the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The SHE LEADS project seeks to equip young individuals with the skills and tools necessary to access quality employment opportunities and successfully integrate into the labour market. With a strong focus on reducing the number of young women classified as NEET (Not in Employment, Education, or Training), the project adopts a gender-sensitive approach to foster inclusivity and equal opportunities.
During the two-day meeting, project partners reviewed the overall Project Work Plan, presented the Green Action Plan, and conducted an initial assessment of potential risks to ensure effective implementation. In addition, in-depth discussions were held on the progress and structure of key work packages.
Particular emphasis was placed on Work Package 2, which focuses on the design and development of a tailored Guide aimed at building the capacity of youth workers to better support young people, especially young women, in developing employability and entrepreneurial skills through digital and AI tools. Work Package 5, dedicated to dissemination and sustainability, was also discussed extensively, with partners aligning on strategies to maximise the project’s outreach and long-term impact.
The consortium also established key milestones, upcoming deadlines, and the next steps to ensure the smooth progression of the project.
SHE LEADS sets out to achieve several core objectives, including building the capacity of 100 youth workers, strengthening the entrepreneurial and transferable skills of 170 young people, and developing innovative resources that promote employability and entrepreneurship. By integrating digital and AI tools into its approach, the project aims to deliver sustainable and forward-looking solutions to current labour market challenges.
INNOVADE’s participation underscores its continued commitment to supporting initiatives that promote digital transformation, gender equality, and youth empowerment at both national and European levels.
Stay tuned for more updates regarding the project.
