InclusiveHE Toolkit
- Published in News
The consortium of the InclusiveHE – Designing and supporting inclusive practices in Higher Education project gladly announces the publication of the Inclusive Higher Education Toolkit!
The Inclusive Higher Education Toolkit is a research-based set of resources to support the staff, administrators and policymakers at higher education institutions in developing and monitoring inclusive policies and practices.
The toolkit consists of 6 tools addressing different aspects and steps that are crucial for promoting inclusion in the context of higher education: assessment, reflection, strategy and action. It is recommended to use the tools in the following order, to first reflect and collect ideas before planning further steps towards inclusion:
- The Theoretical Framework and Indicators is a research-based resource providing an overview of the most innovative and inclusive best practices and policies in higher education.
- The Checklist is an inclusion readiness assessment and reflection tool for HEIs. It provides information to universities about their existing profile in the field of diversity and inclusion and helps them identify room for improvement.
- The Canvas is a visualisation tool providing a holistic overview of the key aspects of an inclusive higher education institution and encouraging further reflection.
- The SWOT-Analysis template allows higher education institutions to explore their internal and external environment regarding inclusion;
- The Strategy Worksheet can be used to strategically plan the further development of the institution’s inclusive policies and practices;
- The Database is a collection of examples and information about inclusive policies and practices in HEI throughout Europe.
These tools and resources are now available online in English and can be accessed and/or downloaded on the project website.
The InclusiveHE partners invite all interested higher education institutions and actors to take advantage of the InclusiveHE toolkit and get in contact with the local partners for any further information or support (INNOVADE LI: This email address is being protected from spambots.
